Italian Estates: Baldo Baldi Smooth Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-45518
With a background in architecture, the late Baldo Baldi approached his craft with an exacting eye, with each of his pipes being made for briar that had been aged 20-25 years. Baldi would often incorporate inspiration from some of his favorite artists and architects, drawing on his passions to create pipes that balance form and function. This handsome bent Dublin is an eye-catching piece, featuring a tall, flaring bowl that rises prominently in the design. The bowl features a drooping, Acorn-like heel, supporting flaring walls that reach up to a chamfered rim. With over two inches of chamber depth, it's an ideal choice for longer smoking sessions. A tight transition gives the pipe an active posture, leading to an upturned shank that meets a gently bent saddle stem of black acrylic. The stummel is dressed in a traditional chestnut stain, which beautifully highlights tendrils of flame grain rising along the bowl's flanks, complemented by a sea of birdseye around the rim.
