While the bowl of this Il Ceppo Pot is low-set in the composition, it's still quite sizable, generally speaking, and boasts an exceedingly broad chamber. The shank-and-stem arrangement is also much more muscular than English or French renditions of the Pot. The ample form of the stummel provides plenty of space to show off the briar's beautiful grain, with dense patches of birdseye decorating the rim and the top and bottom of the shank, and excellent flame grain enveloping the bowl and both sides of the shank. These gorgeous grain patterns are brought out by a smooth, walnut-stained finish.
