Japanese Estates: Gajin Hayafune Partially Sandblasted Shield (Special) (2006)

Product Number: 004-007-0533

Gajin Hayafune had his paintings displayed at the Eibu art exhibition as early as 1957, won his first major pipe carving contest in 1975 and had racked up over 30 additional gold medals in Japanese carving championships over the years to follow. To say the shaping is both adroitly balanced and fascinating would be a gross understatement and the grain, both smooth and sandblasted is stellar.
