It's arrow straight and streamlined, catering toward the classic Danish interpretation, with three knuckles of bamboo extending the shank and accentuating that aspect, adding organicism and forward-urging rhythm through the knuckles' even spacing — which is matched by the stem base. Kikuchi has dressed it in a smooth contrast stain, highlighting tendrils of flame grain across the bowl.
