Turkish Estates: Unknown Meerschaum Calabash (with Case)
Product Number: 004-008-1850
Meerschaum come from all over the world: from Greece to the islands of Euboea and Samos, from Kromau to as far west as Pennsylvania (and it even occurs in serpentine right here in South Carolina). Most commonly, however, meerschaum is extracted from nodular masses, in alluvial deposits, from Turkey where the material for little beauty originated. It comes to us now in Calabash form, beautifully crafted, deeply chamber, and with a light tan around the rim and bowl.
