Misc. Estates: Peter Matzhold Smooth Bent Brandy (F) (2005)
Product Number: 004-008-1862
Though definitely tapered in the essence of a Brandy, this Peter Matzhold features a height-to-breadth ratio more akin to that of an Apple. Then again, the main factor in that is
the exceptionally Brandy-esque breadth of the lower bowl. As much substance as there is packed in up front and low down, however, the design as a whole is just utterly light and elegant. The fine taper of the shank and the upward sweep of its underside, mirrored in a shorter, but more concentrated line at the heel; the yearning, forward reach of the rim and the counterpoint of the slender bit's relaxed bend - it all just works
