Sergey Senatorov sticks to the best materials when it comes his pipes; choice Mediterranean briar and German ebonite. When it comes to shaping, however, conservatism as often as not goes out the door. Sure, he's made Calabashes and straight Billiards, but then he also doesn't flinch from making something that looks like a cross between the broad and bold Castello "55" bent Pot, a Skater, and a Volcano. As you might expect, this briar is a solid sitter, and its stout bowl possesses a very firm feel in hand.
