Misc. Estates: Konstantinos Anastasopoulos Smooth Bent Pot Sitter (100) (2014) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-008-2964
Though, like many of the new-generation Greek carvers, Konstantinos began his journey into pipe making by reinterpreting the classics, he hasn't shied away from more modern, freehand renditions either. In this bent Pot, for example, we find shaping cues from the Cherrywood in the flattened base and high-set transition, yet the bowl itself maintains a rather squat orientation with plenty of breadth of chamber. Its forward stance and abbreviated, flared shank really work to realize a charmingly whimsical silhouette overall, and the grain is just stunning. Great condition, too!
