Misc. Estates: Gregor Lobnik Smooth Horn with Boxwood (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Quite a stout take on the Horn, this Lobnik briar shows a curve, taper, and lift that reminds me Danish renditions of the shape, but with proportions that either suggest one of quite large size that had been shortened, or one of a more Danish classic nature (i.e. around the size of your average Stanwell) given far more substance. However you see it, the result is a design of very smooth, simple lines, but also considerable presence. Considerable grain, too, as far as the briar goes, Gregor having through orientation of the shape and a warm contrast stain brought out great bands of flame to either flank, and an underside jam-packed with birdseye.
