A Belgian pipemaker now living and working in Spain, Dirk Claessen draws a good deal of inspiration from the late German carver Rainer Barbi. He's managed to fashion this affable bent Brandy shape effortlessly, finishing it in a light sandblast unveiling loads of rippling rings.
