Misc. Estates: Eder Mathias Rusticated Bent Brandy with Spalted Maple
Product Number: 004-008-5157
Though of German and Italian descent, Eder Mathias has lived in a number of places over the past 20 years, from Brazil to Latvia to France. Here, the carver presents a muscular take on the bent Brandy, with a stout shank transitioning crisply into the bulbous base with affable cheeking very much present. Dressed in a patterned rustication that calls to mind sandblasted ring grain, the texture is concise and stimulating in hand, the dark stain contrasting well against the smooth polished rim and heel, spalted maple accent, and vivid cumberland stem.-Truett Smith
