Misc. Estates: Gregor Lobnik Sandblasted Bent Dublin (**)

Product Number: 004-008-5998

With its visually prominent bowl and firm, pointed heel spur underneath, this bent Dublin from Gregor Lobnik calls to mind the signature aesthetic that's so prevalent within Becker pipes. Though the tall, gently tapering bowl commands the majority of the visually weight, it's expertly balanced by the gracefully arching. lengthy mouthpiece. The chamber is rather capacious and the light-depth sandblast provides pleasant tactile feedback in hand, while also coaxing out tight streaks of cross grain along the flanks and specks of birdseye fore and aft. It's one of the Slovenian artisan's more understated pieces yet is a charming take of the timeless form that demonstrates Lobnik's broad stylistic range.
