Misc. Estates: Michal Novak Smooth Freehand (16036) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-008-6206

Based out of the Czech Republic, Michal Novak is known for his wild, flourishing Freehand designs and the fluting ridges he often features on his pipes. This particular piece is a solid example of the carver's style and is quite a bold, dramatic Freehand. A single ridgeline emanates from out of the shank face and wraps around the bowl's heel and along the bowl's fore, eventually terminating at the rim. The grain is also quite impressive with streaks of flame grain cascading down bowl's flanks while whorls of birdseye populate the rim. Unsmoked.
