Misc. Estates: Doctor's Sandblasted Strawberry Wood Calabash with Grey Whale Vertebrae (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Well known and loved for his creative use of alternate mediums and unique accenting materials, among his many other skills, Roman Kovalev of Doctor's Pipes has here created a Calabash with so many interesting elements that it's hard to list them. The strawberry wood is first, of course, its sandblasted surface displaying a visually fascinating display of undulating grain. Roman uses lots of interesting accent materials, especially on this pipe, which has grey whale vertebrae for the rim cap, though the chamber itself is briar. The bowl is, like many of Roman's creations, extra large in relation to shank and stem, and is wonderfully filled with grain rising straight up to the rim. It's presented here in unsmoked condition.
