Misc. Estates: Sergey Ailarov Smooth Bent Brandy
Product Number: 004-008-6980
Among his pipe making influences, carver Sergey Ailarov cites the Danish and Japanese schools, in addition to a fondness for the modern American style. This bent Brandy from the Russian artisan displays some Danish elements, with the bowl displaying soft curves, a lifting heel, and a broad, plump lower bowl. Paired to a gently curling, oval shank and lightly downturned stem that are far more trim, this Brandy prioritizes the bowl's visual weight, which makes sense considering the enticing grain displayed across its flanks. Compact and pocket friendly, it's dressed in a warm, auburn stain, highlighting tight-knit tendrils of flame grain all across the bowl.
