Misc. Estates: Peter Matzhold Smooth Bent Brandy

Product Number: 004-008-7077

Featuring bulging, plump flanks and a broad, lifting heel, this smooth bent Brandy from Austrian carver Peter Matzhold adopts a more curvaceous approach here that shows Danish influence. A gradual taper toward the rim affirms the Brandy design, while a pinched transition leads to a flaring shank end. Topped by a downturned, jet-black vulcanite stem with an accent of briar at its base that complements the auburn contrast stain cloaking the stummel, this piece also boasts plenty of handsome flame grain to admire around the bowl, while birdseye speckles the base.
