Misc. Estates: Daniel Mustran Sandblasted Bulldog (2021) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Daniel Mustran is a Croatian carver who's been fashioning pipes since 2010, often with inventive designs such as this gestural bent Bulldog iteration. The encircling ridgeline of the shape is present, adorned with a single beadline here, mirrored by a crisp ridgeline that wraps the heel and continues up the lower margins of the shank. While typically a Bulldog has a diamond-shaped shank, Mustran has taken liberties in this rendition, giving it a broad, soft curve atop for comfortable thumb-draping, and paneled flanks, while keeping the center ridgeline of the classic profile underneath. It wears a two-tone sandblast of tan and black to accentuate growth rings in the briar, pairing well with a two-part vulcanite stem commended by a lithe cumberland saddle element.
