Misc. Estates: Dr. Shotton's Sanaton Smooth Billiard

Product Number: 004-008-7544

Dr. Shotton's were system pipes distributed by Foster Products of Ohio. A little plug along the lower fore was implemented so that it could be unscrewed, allowing a pipe cleaner to pass. A magazine ad from 1939 stated "Dr. Shotton's Sanaton Cleans Like a Gun..." Shape-wise, this thick-walled Billiard houses plenty of chamber capacity in its slightly forward-leaning, rounded bowl, while a muscular length of shank and stem stretch out in back for a visual and physical balance. It's a unique pipe that's wearing a warm auburn stain and is sure to spark conversation with that aforementioned plug.
