Born in Belgium and currently residing in Spain, Dirk Claessen boasts a portfolio ranging from classic designs to those that are inspired by nature. This Acorn hews more toward the latter, its distinctively ridgelined heel resembling the form's traditional spur in profile. The bowl is paired to a downward tapering shank and stem that extend from a mid-set transition. It's all dressed in a light mahogany-hued sandblast, pairing well with the ebony tones of the vulcanite mouthpiece. Presented unsmoked.
