Born in Hungary, Julius Vesz now makes pipes from his home workshop in Canada, offering a wide variety of designs and finishes. This bent Acorn is a fine example of the artisan's facility with carving and rustication techniques, featuring a plump bowl and slim round shank fitted with a vulcanite saddle stem, comfortably bent. The stummel is dressed in a crisp partial rustication, with smooth ridges running up the bowl, offering a handsome and engaging texture and aesthetic, dressed in light blonde stain.
