Misc. Estates: Konstantinos Anastasopoulos Smooth Volcano (1415) (2015) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-008-34746

Oddly enough, this is the first Volcano we've ever seen from the Greek carver Konstantinos Anastasopoulos — whose style can perhaps be best described as a mix of English classics and more ambitious modern designs. Playing to the Japanese and Danish tradition here, he's presented us with a truly charming and organic rendition, with a forward, yet balanced stance and an underside kissed with plateau. Though maintaining a compact, portable style, the slimming lines of the shank and saddle stem serve to visually elongate the composition, thereby accentuating the strong taper and breadth of the Volcano bowl. Of course that extra visual length comes into play in other ways, like serving as a canvas for some spectacular flame grain, for example. Presented unsmoked.
