Misc. Estates: Geiger Smooth Cherrywood with Brass and Horn (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-008-8648
Geiger pipes are fashioned by Love Geiger and Sara Mossberg, a Swedish duo that collaborate on every aspect of the pipe-making process, from the designing and shaping to the finishing and engineering. The pair takes inspiration from the Danish school of pipe design, and as such, their work tends to be quite organic. This Cherrywood is a fine example of the pair's style, which marries dynamic line work with asymmetrical flair. The bowl here flares from its flat, narrow heel to its broad, softly inflated rim. As it expands, the bowl takes on an dramatic forward-cant that lends the overall composition an active posture in silhouette. The shank-and-stem arrangement's serpentine curvature offers a comfortable smoking posture and keeps the shape's build fluid and gestural. A contrast-stained smooth finish dresses the stummel and showcases tight bands of cross grain across the bowl's flanks. An accent of horn and an accent of brass add some stylish touches of vibrancy to the pipe's color palette. Unsmoked.
