Misc. Estates: Unknown Smooth Freehand (A.S.B.) (85-14) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-008-8865
Crafted by an unknown carver, this Freehand here is immediately reminiscent of the Skater shape, presenting with a broadly-flaring, Dublin-like bowl that expands into a vast, plateau-crowned rim. This bowl sits atop a sharply pointed heel which is lifted at the rear to mark the start of a trim, tapering shank that meets a black vulcanite mount married to a lengthy, matching stem. Dressed in a warm auburn stain, this pipe showcases some handsome flame grain around the bowl, its rim's plateau crown adorned with a small scrimshaw plate reading "R.C.H."
