Misc. Estates: Jon Vesterholm Smooth Brandy Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-008-8779

After meeting Hans "Former" Nielsen in 2011, Jon Vesterholm crafted his first pipe and eventually became a full-time pipe maker just a few years later. He crafts handsome renditions of shape-chart standards, like this fetching Brandy. Tall, and stocky, the bowl here stands atop a broad, plump heel and boasts a subtle upward taper to a taut, softly inflated rim. Out back, a sleek stretch of shank and stem ebbs from the low-set transition and keeps the overall form looking rather svelte and streamlined in profile. A warm, traditional smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights a wealth of rich grain along the flanks of the bowl.
