Misc. Estates: Biftek Smooth Rhodesian (708) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Jiří Maczko, better known by his nickname Biftek, was born in 1991 and spent seven years as a carpenter after finishing school, becoming a full-time pipe maker in 2017. Though he is a new artisan, he is still quite talented, this talent clearly demonstrated by this sleek Rhodesian. Placing a pert bowl atop a soft, raised heel, the rim is delineated by the form's customary ridgeline, capped with a slim crown of plateau. Out back, a broad, yet sinuous and organically flowing oval shank joins a tapered, multicolored vulcanite stem. The pipe's right flank features a subtle panel at the heel, becoming a ridgeline that defines one half of the shank. Dressed in a light natural finish, the stummel boasts excellent flame grain around the bowl, with dapples of birdseye along the shank.
