Misc. Estates: Michal Novak Smooth Freehand (373) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-008-9890

When Czechian pipe-maker Michal Novak first started carving pipes, he aspired to foster a unique aesthetic that smokers could instantly identify as his work. Novak certainly achieved his goal, as he developed a one-of-a-kind style defined by spectacular, arcing flutes. This Freehand by Michal Novak possesses a traditional bowl, its cylindrical form providing the familiar heartiness of a robust Billiard bowl in hand. However, the shank showcases a dramatic flourish, a cresting ridge that is propelled upward out of the transition before the shank tapers swiftly to a neat, rounded junction. There, a sleek saddle stem meets the shank at a walnut-hued accent band bordered by two white stripes. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a warm, chestnut stain — a rather classic finish for this extraordinary pipe.
