Misc. Estates: Sergey Ailarov Smooth Bent Brandy Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-008-10353

Russian artisan Sergey Ailarov draws from pipe-making influences across the world, with Danish and Japanese design cues especially present among his portfolio. As such, Ailarov's approach to pipe making prioritizes a balance between both form and function, his designs inclined toward elegance and organicism. Presented in diminutive Nosewarmer proportions and a squat stature, this bent Brandy from Sergey Ailarov is a particularly compact rendition of the classic shape, fashioned with supple curves and a gestural disposition. The bowl's plump base sits upon a broad, sweeping heel, from which smooth supple walls rise and taper toward the rim, creating a figure that contours well to the hand. A muscular shank curls upward from the bowl's transition, adorned with a dark horn accent as it meets a slender, gently arcing stem with a crisp expansion ring at its base. Dressing the stummel is a smooth chestnut stain that highlights whorls of birdseye traveling along the underside and windswept vertical grain across both flanks.
