A remarkably compact take on the timeless Bulldog shape from Depi, this Nosewarmer-sized pipe offers plenty of robust musculature to appreciate in hand, all in pocket-friendly dimensions. The transition is wide, and though it's not cheeked, it's been given some added dimension thanks to the bowl's plump walls and the shank's firm rigidity. Said shank is a thick, tapering stretch of briar whose diamond shaping continues into the short saddle stem, admirably upholding the standards of this shape chart icon. Up front, the bowl stands on a firm heel, informed by the lowermost ridge on the shank, and its walls flare out to a high-set waistline marked by twin beadlines that additionally denote an easy taper to the rim. Dressed in a deep, rich, smooth finish, the stummel showcases a wealth of handsome grain, with flame surrounding the bowl.
