Misc. Estates: Alpha Gremlin Smooth Bent Egg Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-008-10487

Through the 1970s and 1980s, Alpha pipes were made by the Shalom Pipe Factory in Israel, created exclusively to be exported to the U.S. Measuring under five inches in length, this bent Egg from Alpha features a touch of muscularity throughout its build, the overall composition displaying an American sense of proportion within its design. Housing a capacious chamber, the bowl stands tall with an upright posture, formed by supple walls reaching high from the sweeping heel and curving toward the chamfered rim. Lifting out of the transition is a thick shank that meets a bent saddle stem with a bright metal accent at its base, the pair lending this piece a fluid gesture in profile. Dressed in a smooth chestnut finish, the stummel displays handsome grain.
