Crafted by an unknown maker, this Calabash is a unique take on the shape, offering a look reminiscent of both the Bulldog and the Egg. The transition is rather tight, and it gives way to a lifting, diamond-shaped shank that's met by a smartly curved stem of tapering black acrylic, the combination poising this pipe for comfortable smoking. Up front, the bowl stands on a firm, pronounced heel, supporting walls that flare out and take on a subtle bit of curvature as they reach for the rim. These walls are marked with a single beadline just below said rim, concealing its true nature as a removable chamber cap and adding a bit of stylish detail. Dressed in a warm, oak-toned stain, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout, with flame grain on display through the right flank of the bowl.
