Talented Greek artisan Chris Asteriou started crafting pipes back in 2007, using his background in industrial design and architecture to his advantage. Few carvers can transition between a diverse range of design styles as Chris Asteriou, while his early work was rooted in classic Anglo-French designs, in recent years, he has increasingly drawn inspiration from the Danish and Japanese schools, incorporating these influences into his ever-evolving portfolio. While his design style remains vast, every piece by Asteriou is imbued with his meticulous attention to detail and exceptional engineering. This Billiard, with its well-balanced profile, is infused with a distinct Danish sense of shaping. The style is evident in the upright bowl, which tapers gracefully to a taut rim— a subtle design detail commonly found in traditional Danish-style Billiards. Soft cheeking along the transition accentuates the bowl's plump base, leading into a low-set shank topped with a silver mount. The stummel is dressed in a rich mahogany stain that highlights the tendrils of flame grain running along the bowl's flanks, rising to a rim speckled with birdseye.
