This Canadian from Jobey is a bowl-forward take on the shape that boasts plenty of substance to appreciate in hand and features a length of more than six inches. The shank here flows out of a wide transition, its form compressed into a slim ovoid that takes on a subdued taper toward its end, where it meets a similarly tapering stem of black vulcanite. Up front, the bowl stands on a rounded heel, and it grows plump, slightly supple walls that take on an arcing taper to the rim from its low-set waistline, with the rim offering a smart chamfer into the chamber. Dressed in a warm stain, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout and a classic aesthetic.
