Talented Greek artisan Chris Asteriou began crafting pipes in 2007, drawing on his background in industrial design and architecture. Asteriou's designs draw from a range of influences, from classic Anglo-French designs to the unique Freehands of Danish pipe making. However, it's his clean line work, keen eye for proportions, and flawless engineering that make his work distinctly his own.

This Acorn exemplifies Asteriou's highly organic approach. It features a long, slender shank made of dark bamboo, accented with a thin horn accent at the junction. The bowl is shaped organically, resembling the namesake nut with its pointed heel and inflated rim, crowned by a rugged plateau. The stummel is finished with a rugged sandblast, showcasing striking, uniform growth rings along the flanks of the bowl, which further enhances the organic appeal of the design.
