Turkish Estates: S. Yanik Meerschaum Ent (with Tamper and Case)
Product Number: 004-653-4857
I admit, I had to look this one up, not knowing what an "Ent" is, or are. Apparently, they are a species of beings in Tolkien's fantasy world, Middle-Earth, that closely resemble trees. I suppose a lot of people know this. "Ent" is derived from the Old English word for "Giant," which is appropriate here. This Ent is rendered in meerschaum by Yanik; its perplexed-looking face nearly hidden. It's a neat pipe, actually, and has been stained a golden hue, lending even more character. This Ent is a giant: The bowl offers nearly three inches of chamber depth. The coloring of the stummel is complemented by a gracefully downturned stem of amber-hued acrylic, the two tones matching up nicely.-Angela Robertson
