Turkish Estates: Unknown Meerschaum Laughing Bacchus (with Case) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-653-5052

Here we have a tipsily giggling Bacchus (Roman) or Dionysus (Greek), the mythological god of wine, good times and general frivolity. The hearty meerschaum carving boasts numerous details, including a sharp, aquiline nose, handsome cheekbones, and a particularly intricate headdress on which grapes and vines dangle. Topped by a colorful acrylic stem of butterscotch, the stummel has already begun its intriguing patination process, showing some pink and tan tones, and will continue to do so as Bacchus is smoked over time.
