American Estates: Sam Learned Smooth with Antler Ferrule (Star) (6) (1998) (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-009-5615

Sam Learned fashions his pipes on the idea that they will fit any situation, any place, any time, to set a mood for a presence of timelessness. I would say he's succeeded. This particular piece, the dominate shape in his canon (a kind of freehand Horn shape which he affectionately refers to as the "Mule"), is given a small ferrule of Antler, which colors the piece distinctly "American Rustic". As his intentions state, one could see the pipe enjoyed by a 19th-century settler in a log cabin, or a wealthy Wall Street broker relaxing at his lakeside mansion.
