I'm quite fond of Jeff Gracik's Egg shapes. In these usually relatively compact designs, Jeff never fails to pack in as much shaping as possible, here lending smooth-flowing curves and graceful lines into a mere five inches. In many ways, this variant reminds me of Former's interpretation, only more compact and perhaps even further reaching in its forward cant. It fills the hand naturally, with that deep forward cant leaving plenty of room for the thumb along and above the transition. Jeff's finished this piece in a jet-black sandblast, covered with rings, with the rim polished smooth to showcase some dense crossgrain.
