Cardinal House pipes are the brainchild of American carver Walt Cannoy, but they are certainly anything but a seconds brand. Handmade from select Mimmo briar, handcut mouthpieces, and available in a variety of shapes and styles, these offerings represent one of the best values in handmade pipes on the market today. This "Hollingsworth" Poker is quite the stout fireplug, coming in at a little over three inches in length, yet it offers an impressive chamber depth; more akin to that of a deep Stack. It also sports a single knuckle of bamboo in perfect rhythm with the shank and stem, as well as a handsome cross-cut grain pattern, with vivid whorls of birdseye to both flanks. It's only been lightly smoked, too.
