American Estates: Scott Klein Smooth Asymmetric Bent Dublin (2017)
Product Number: 004-009-11860
When it comes to evocative profiles, Scott Klein really pays careful attention to proportions and lines to allude to either something in nature or some sort of action. His Pierced Fish, for example, with its disc-like flanks and upward curling tale, does, indeed, remind one of a fish being pierced by a hunter's spear. And the same can be said for this bent Dublin shape. The convex shaping of the rim, the flowing trajectory of the shank's ridgelines, and the slightly tilted, asymmetrical shaping of the bowl all combine in this bent Dublin to imply forward movement. It makes for a dynamic design full of endless appreciation as it's observed from every angle.- Andrew Wike
