American Estates: Ernie Markle Smooth Cutty with Bamboo (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-009-12153

Mentored by both Brad Pohlmann and Jeff Gracik, Ernie Markle has made an impression on the pipe world with renditions such as this elegant Cutty. The proportions and curvature are easy to recognize as meticulously executed, with grain running forward and up, helping the impression of forward momentum. Three knuckles of bamboo comprise the shank and lead to an elegant, slim saddle mouthpiece. Of course, the traditional heel spur is present, as it was on the old-school clay tavern pipes after which this piece was modeled. Wispy in attitude, lithe and graceful of line, and light to hold, this piece is unsmoked and in terrific condition.
