American Estates: Weber Golden Walnut Lovat (400) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-12283
Established in 1938 by Carl B. Weber, whose name you may also recognize as the author of the book, Weber's Guide to Pipes and Pipe Smoking, Weber Briars, later Weber Pipe Co., operated out of New Jersey. The company owned and manufactured Jobey pipes until manufacturing transferred to Butz-Choquin in St. Claude, France, in 1987. Presented here is a lovely, straightforward take on the Lovat, dressed in a warm walnut stain and complemented by an abbreviated jet-black saddle stem. There's a lively array of grain to be admired here and thanks to the flattened underside, this piece sits quite easily.
