American Estates: Glenn Tinsky Smooth Poker (2007)
Product Number: 004-009-12389
Glenn Tinsky is the son of pipemaker Mark Tinsky, and initially began working in his father's workshop after graduating from culinary school. As you might expect, his father's style is a strong influence in his own work. This Poker design from Glenn displays an intriguing profile through the use of craggy plateau along the rim, with the cylindrical bowl looking like someone sawed a tree in half. The stout bowl features no shortage of lively grain and is paired to a lengthy, gently downturned saddle stem. It's quite an exciting piece from the younger Tinsky.- Jeffery Sitts
