American Estates: Larry Roush Sandblasted Brandy with Silver (S2) (1654) (2009)
Product Number: 004-009-12557
This is well on the understated end for Larry Roush, as far as sandblasted texture goes, which isn't really saying much. The esteemed American carver, well-known for his undeniably craggy blast work, does once in a while fashion something considerably more light in textural depth. And while the texture is more subtle here, the shape itself is certainly not: A full-bodied straight Brandy, it displays Roush's oft-utilized design cue of dramatically tapering shank and stem combination, make for a bold, substantial number to turn to at the end of a long day. Plus, it also features Larry's signature silver work, by way of a trim accent ring, and is paired to a cumberland stem.-Truett Smith
