American Estates: Rolando Negoita Smooth Conducta Reverse Calabash with Black Palm (2015)
Product Number: 004-009-13126
A reverse Calabash as conceived by the incredibly creative Roland Negoita, this smooth piece could be called a Horn, though with a structural element that interrupts the flow of line at a transition that expands around the shank and introduces a bowl of reduced proportion. That large shank houses a reverse Calabash chamber, and its end is accented with a ring of black palm before the flat, saddle mouthpiece drifts into a downward turn. The bowl is Dublin-esque and rises to a softly inflated rim with just a whisper of chamfering at its inner ring. It's a distinctive composition with bold proportions and an individualistic personality for those who enjoy excellent smoking instruments of atypical originality.- Chuck Stanion
