A crisp, flourishing, and highly stylized take on the Blowfish shape, this piece from Alex Florov emphasizes geometrical and architectural shaping cues. The ubiquitous disc-like panels to either flank are even more pronounced, with their framing ridges shaped out to a very crisp degree. The abbreviated, flared shank fits nicely with all these fast, sharp lines, adding a sense of muscularity to the design. Best of all, it's gorgeously grained, with each facet and panel of the shape showcasing a different grain pattern.
