American Estates: Yeti Smooth Fig (271)

Product Number: 004-009-14868

Micah "Yeti" Cryder's skills are well documented and admired, and this Fig is an excellent example why. The bowl is organically bulbous, as befitting the Fig shape, with a high waistline and soft curvature at the rim, curling inward on the far flank and terminating at a concise heel spur. The shank is quite muscular and expands as it reaches the shallow dome of its end, where the stem steps down from a fairly wide diameter to an expansion ring, then dwindles to a flat saddle configuration. The bowl's flanks are populated with swaths of birdseye illuminated by a light chestnut stain to add to the natural attitude of this Fig shape as executed by a remarkable craftsman.
