American Estates: Michael Lindner Smooth Bent Dublin Sitter (A) (2006) (Unsmoked)
Product Number: 004-009-14929
A lithe and sinuously gestural shank-and-stem combination lends this bent Dublin from Michael Lindner a particularly svelte disposition. The stem base creates a sense of upward momentum through the use of an offset base, and is balanced by the thin, downturned saddle stem. A smooth curvature defines the shank, which joins the bowl in Cherrywood fashion, but with more elegance than is found in that rustic form. The bowl is endowed with flame grain that follows the contours of the flanks and rises to an undulating rim of plateau that offers a rugged contrast to the slender design, which, for practicality's sake, is able to sit stably on its flattened, angled heel. It's offered here in unsmoked condition.- Chuck Stanion
