American Estates: J.M. Boswell Partially Rusticated Bent Brandy (2019)
Product Number: 004-009-149235
A more conservative sort of Boswell, this briar keeps to a pretty classical shape, as well as a scale that is, again for this maker, modest. Chamber-wise, I'd say it's actually close to Group 4, while the external form is more like a Group 6, resulting in, as is typical for Boswells, a pipe with a very solid sense of substance. The contrast of texture and color is profound, and the stem offers even more diversity with its cumberland-styled acrylic, saddle configuration.- Chuck Stanion
