American Estates: C.P.F. Gourd Calabash with Redmanol Stem (with Case) (c.1920s) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-16436
While more contemporary interpretations of the gourd Calabash shape have been rendered in briar or some other type of wood rather than gourd, here we see a more traditional rendition from C.P.F. — fashioned from genuine gourd and topped with a meerschaum chamber cap. Though I will admit, the glossy finish and bright metallic accent do seem to fit the era in which it was created: 1920s to be exact. Much more portable in size than most Gourd Calabash pipes, this on is made even more travel-ready with the inclusion of a perfectly accommodating clamshell case.
