Randy Wiley's rustications offer a wealth of texture with deep grooves and recesses adding rugged intrigue to each pipe he finishes. Here such texture adorns a tall bent Billiard, offering plenty of surface area on which to enjoy the rugged in-hand feel. For contrast, the shank remains smooth and lightly stained, paired to a coffee-hued acrylic stem. Though this particular pipe is stamped to indicate Wiley's Meteor rustication, which presents a craggy, rock-like pattern, this piece displays a style more in line with the American carver's Old Oak rustication, which reveals a more uniform, bark-like texture.
